From the Pasture to Your Porch: How Bridle Farms Works
Ever stood in front of the meat section wondering where any of it actually came from? There’s a picture of a barn on the package, but you’d quite like to know if anyone’s ever been to that barn.
Fair question. We’d want to know too.
At Bridle Farms, we source all our meat from local BC farmers. We’ve visited the farms, walked the land, and met the people doing the work. The mud on our shoes was a small price to pay.
So, Who’s Raising Your Dinner?
Farmers who put a lot of time and care into their animals and their land. Early mornings, long days, and chores that don’t disappear because it’s raining. This is BC, so waiting for better weather isn’t much of a business plan.
Seeing that work firsthand matters to us. We want to understand each farm’s values and feel confident about the meat we bring to your table.
Our meat is 100% pasture raised, with no added hormones or antibiotics.
What Happens Between the Farm and Your Front Door?
Quite a bit, actually. We don’t just pop a steak in an envelope and wish it luck.
After we purchase the meat, it’s flash frozen to help preserve its freshness, flavour, and quality. It then heads to our distribution centre in Burnaby, where our team handles it carefully and keeps it in temperature controlled frozen storage until your order is ready to be packed.
Once your box is packed, our cold chain delivery team takes over. Your order travels in a refrigerated vehicle straight to your doorstep, keeping it cold along the way. Your steaks get their own climate controlled ride. Fancy, we know.
Wait, Frozen? Is That a Good Thing?
For our service, absolutely. Flash freezing helps preserve the quality of the meat while allowing us to store and deliver it frozen. It also means you can stock your freezer and have something worth cooking waiting at home.
Because “what’s for dinner?” really shouldn’t become a household emergency five nights a week.
How Do I Get a Box?
That’s the easy part.
Pick one of our ready made boxes, or build your own with the cuts you love. Once you place your order, our team carefully packs it for delivery to your door within 1 to 3 business days.
No extra grocery stop. No staring into a display case hoping dinner introduces itself.
Just a box of locally sourced meat, ready for your freezer and your next meal.
And the Farmers?
They’re the reason we can do this.
Every order helps us keep buying from local BC farms and supporting the people behind our food. We get to bring their hard work a little closer to your kitchen, and you get to know more about what’s on your plate.
Hungry yet? Have a look at our boxes. Dinner’s got potential.
