For five years, I worked inside a commercial meat processing plant. What I saw changed me forever.
Animals were packed into metal cages, barely able to move. They were pumped full of hormones and steroids to speed up growth and maximize profit. I watched meat treated with zero care, handled poorly, and shipped off like a lifeless product — not like the food we feed our families.
